  Got this one. Replaced our corded vac. The direct drive cleaner head is great on carpets. The 'mini motorised tool' is good on couches and car seats. I use it on hard surfaces too but it doesn't pick up larger bits like a normal vacuum would (leaves, onion skin etc).

  Is this the best Dyson purchase I can make with a small budget?
  Just got the Xiaomi robot vacuum and need a handstick vacuum to complement.

    If your small budget is $350 then yes. I do think it's worth spending ~$150 more to get the V8 though.

        @watts: Realised after reading a better comparison. Ended up with the Xiaomi Roidmi Storm. $400 delivered and supposed to be nearly as good as the V8 absolute. So far it's been performing amazingly!

    Xiaomi Robot + Dyson V6 is my exact combo. It's great, I've never needed a cordless vacuum.

  Got it to replace a DC-59 with broken motorised heads - they were submerged in water for a long period of time. With genuine replacement heads at $140, and a $100 wish card burning a hole in my pocket, this looked like a good deal. On the tiny bit of charge out of the box, genuinely impressed with the power compared to the several year old DC-59.
