In your dreams, you philistine - it's Coffey (a type of still) not Coffee flavoured!
From their blurb: Coffey Malt is made from 100% malted barley. However it is not categorized as “malt whisky” but as "grain whisky" since it is not distilled in a pot still.

Enjoyed some in Japan about half this price (higher price here mainly due to our tax on alcohol).

Whereas whiskey with coffee is a bit much at breakfast, but I've tried😉But I wouldn't waste this in coffee. Better appreciated straight or with a little water.
Y5500 in Japan as at 2 weeks ago (at various locations), which is about A$68, plus tax.
So A$109 is actually a fair price.
One of the 1 star reviews seems to think they were expecting a coffee taste or that it has a coffee taste lol
'Not sure what is going on, is it the barrel variation or is it my taste but this is far from enjoyable especially at that price. Very little nose, raw alcohol, a bit of barrel smokiness, not a quality bourbon like but rather fresh wood one. Some after taste with a coffee and overpowering sweetness but nothing to make this interesting. Even coffee taste is more like pale cheap one and not like Brazilian one with full of life and character. After alcohol wears off ,strange as this is 45% , bitter coffee is still on the palette and I really cannot feel anything more but sweetness , maybe a hint of vanilla and citrus ,some orange¿. Very disappointed as Nikki black was quite enjoyable experience.
Adding few drops of water helps taming the alcohol harsh sent. Coffee taste becomes more prominent when sipping, still alcohol on the palette . Still unpleasant after taste and this time sweetness stays longer.'
