Negotiating interest rates with CommBank?

Howdy,

So I've been riding the interest wave like most of you switching from ING, UBank, BankWest and lately my primary bank (Commonwealth) to maximise the interest return.

I realise that UBank offers the highest rate right now compared to Commonwealth (5.85%), has anyone been able to negotiate a higher rate with CBA? I overheard at a clients someone talk about getting 6.25% a couple of weeks ago with CBA. Previously they were quite competitive in offering at least 6% but now they seem to be winding this promotion down.

Thoughts/abuse?

    My advice, stick with Ubank :)

    Reason being is even if you do negotiate a rate with the comm it still wont beat what they will offer you for your money just sitting there…

    I tried but they could only offer me their promo rate, better than nothing but which is still less than Ubank.
