Cable I Bought for Samsung Galaxy S5. Is It The Right One?

Dear Ozbargainers. I have no clue sbout charging cables but bought one described below as I thought I read it was compatible to charge a Samsung Galaxy S5. Please can anyone tell me if I bought a compatible one. May have to return it otherwise.

How you guys know what cable belongs with which phone is beyond me. I rushed too so I wouldn't miss out on the deal. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards Kim ☺

    If you don't need a long cable, I got a few of these from officeworks the other day, and they work very well.

    How you guys know what cable belongs with which phone is beyond me.

    Look at the shape of the connector. Or search online - the most common 3 are Micro-USB (older - looks like a trapezium), Lightning (iPhones - long flat kind of rectangular), and USB Type-C (newer phones and possibly future iPhones - long thin oval).
