can confirm this is great for creeps

    • …do you creep often?

      • it depends on what mode I'm in

        • …what mode are you in now?

        Sssssssss….

Can confirm these are very average quality. The wheels literally fall off after a few weeks. If used as a seat, it's not bad but when used as a floor creeper, there is too much pressure on the nuts that hold the wheels and they subsequently thread out and fall off.

    • damn…did you assemble correctly?
how about some loctite..? shouldnt that solve the issue?

      • +1

Definitely assembled correctly. Loctite might help but ultimately it comes down to the poor quality of the metal of the bolts.

I'd like to chime in here…. Due to the bearings used on most creepers like this, you CANT over tighten the bolts holding the castors on otherwise it crushes the bearing and the wheels won't swivel around.

Yes, the nuts will come loose on most creepers I've owned. This isn't a huge deal, put a tiny drop of loctite on the thread, do them up firmly, then you're a set.

I would say for $28 you can't really complain. Steel frame and decent size.

…thanks mate. echoing thoughts ive had since starting this deal (…and hoping i didnt pick a dud!):)

thanks for the tips in regards to torque requirements & loctite on the wheels and yeh i reckon its pretty decent quality frame for the price…easily fits me and im just on 6ft

  • Will restrain myself from buying… a standalone seat like the kinchrome with tool tray would be better than my use.

    • fair enough…needed something for occasional work under the car so this suits. 2 in 1 just makes it more useful for me as i can creep under the car when i need to and then use it in stool mode with my workstand for when im working on the bicycle(s) …

  • I use a bucket for a seat when I'm working on the motorbike. It's one of those larger car washing buckets that the Meguiars special fathers day gift packs come in.
Having wheels could be good if you were moving around a lot, but they could also be bad for having a stable platform if you're not moving around.

I have one of the red padded supercheap single mode creepers and that does the job fine. Creepers are definitely good for getting under a car because you can lay it down next to the car, plop down on it comfortably and easily, and then lay back and roll under. The hardest part can be getting up off the creeper if you're in a narrow space, but just grab onto something sturdy and pull yourself up.
