Honda Jazz Wiper Refills - Hard to Find The Right Length Refills!

I've been trying to source new wiper refills for my Honda Jazz (I need a pair that is 710mm long so that I can cut to size for 3 blades from one pair).
There seems to be a bit of a lack of both product choices and online product information about the lengths of the refills from the big online sellers (Autobarn, SuperCheap Auto, Kmart, Big W).
What have others done when searching for the right length wiper refills without having to traipse through each store individually looking for the right size and length of refill?
Who would have thought wiper refills would be such a difficult thing to buy?

I think you're supposed to buy three blades not cut two to make three.
If you cut one to make two, one will be missing the retaining clip.

I have a Jazz, no problem finding one's that fit.

Ah. I was having so much trouble trying to parse:

I need a pair that is 710mm long so that I can cut to size for 3 blades from one pair

      Lol.

Yeah, I had to read it a couple of times just to make sure I was reading it right.

You can enter your car's make/model/year into Supercheap's website, then click "shop parts for my vehicle" and it'll spit out every single part your car could ever need, including the correct size wipers. Alternatively just go in and ask for wipers for you car and they'll do that for you.

It takes the standard 26" (24" on older models) and 14" at the front, and 14" in the back.

Instead of buying two 14" as you're supposed to, OP is trying to get one 28" and cut it in half.

Try aliexpress, I needed new blades for my golf in a hurry and paid $70 at super cheap auto.. repco was even more.

Since then I am using $15 ones from aliexpress and they work great.

You will never get 2 from 3. There is not clip/retainer for the 3rd one. I know this is ozbargain but don’t be a tightass when it comes to vision in the rain.

Even if you have a 2m long wiper blade insert/refills, from my experience, they don't work very well with the flat blade wiper.

I've tried to replace just the wiper blade insert with flat blade wiper, they just don't work properly.

I remember buying in my older cars with the metal arms, you can replace it by choosing a 6 or 8mm wiper blade refills and it worked well. Use to cost me less than $10 for the front.

Recently, I just replaced the full wiper blades for about $42 (pair for front) with a Valeo universal flat wiper blade from Run Auto Parts. Works very well, I can't say the same about the Meyle brand wipers.

Going forward, I'll only use Bosch or Valeo which are OEM. They are about half the price of the original brand and work just as well.

  • Okay, so I've realised now that you can't cut two wiper inserts from one long one. My solution has been to buy the cheap pair from Big W for $9 for the shorter wiper blades and cut to size, and buy the longer one as an individual refill from Autobarn for $7.99 (Big W don't sell anything longer than 61cm).
    All up costing only $16.99
    Problem solved by shopping around!
