HP Envy x360 vs Lenovo Yoga 730

Howdy

I haven't had to buy a specific spec laptop for years (since pre i3) so I am a bit out of the game. Any help, advice would be appreciated.

    Since there's only votes but no comments, let me explain why people (including me) are voting for the Lenovo:

    Your use case is:

    video editing

    The Lenovo has:

    GTX 1050

    Which is light years ahead of the MX150 in the HP Envy.

    • I saw that and the benchmarks put it upto 100% faster in some tests. But then all the sales pitches claim that even the latest integrated graphics cards would suffice for simple vid edits. Lots of 720's in store but noone has the 730 15" which is slightly annoying

      • Sufficient? Sure, you'll just be waiting around a lot longer. And the HP you'll be paying more to wait around longer. Though the laptop will look prettier when making you wait I guess.

        But $2,199 - Bing Lee price matches I think, if you can find it elsewhere for the $1,999 price and isn't obvious that it's out of stock.

          @ben0551:
          Think I have settled on the Lenovo as well. The brightness of the x360 isn't great and id like to use outdoors.

          Isn this it for an awesome price? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2018-Lenovo-Yoga-15-FHD-8th-i7-8…

        • They're the same ones calling the intel UHD iGPUs sufficient, lol. Merely marketing.

          The 1050 absolutely thrashes the 150, and I believe it comes in the cheaper laptop (probably thanks to Lenovo sales). My recommendation

  • Bought, thanks!
