    Perhaps it has since been gentrified :)

      How long ago was this?
      In the 90s it was full of junkies, in the 00s it was a bit bogan with plenty of fights on Fri/Sat nights.
      Since then it's really tamed down, and there's been a pretty big redevelopment recently so quite family friendly and sociable now.
      That said, Cottesloe is the tourist drawcard beach.
