Best Second Hand Monitor for under $100?

I'm looking to buy a second-hand monitor to go with my MacBook Air, just for office use so I can use dual screens. Probably looking at something bigger than 20 inches.

Can anyone recommend something that would be around $100 second hand?

  • AOC. I have a pair as dual monitors. Nice. Great specs.

    • +1 for AOC. Great value monitors I'm using the 75 hz 1440p one that's always up for around $250 on here.

      • 1080p 60Hz 23.6 inches AOC here has not missed a beat. TN panel but honestly I would not know the difference having seen some IPS ones up close and personal.

Only gripe is I wish it was brighter but I have room lights for that.

paid less than $100 from gumtree delivered.. was a lucky buy minor wear and tear.

        • my 2 are both 22". I found my first one as a roadside pick up. second one off ebay for $10. absolute score.

        • Oh wow ok you win by far.

Mine don't even have speakers had to source my own.

  • If you're using it as a second monitor, I would highly recommend you make sure it's an IPS Panel. Otherwise, if you're constantly turning between 2 monitors, non-IPS will have colour distortions at different angles.
@phunkydudes ebay link above is IPS and looks to be a steal at $110 shipped, brand new.

    • Eh. I would go for an IPS just because the price premium over a TN panel is negligible at this point, but you'd ideally have both monitors facing you anyway so the narrow FOV issues of a TN shouldn't matter.

  • +1

At this price point, you can focus on 22"~24" IPS/VA monitors at 1920x1024 and 1920x1200 resolution.

I've found a few monitors on eBay, under $100 pick-up, around Sydney area, after applying the PHENOM coupon code

    Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24" 1920 X 1200 Resolution
    Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP 24" 1920 X 1200 Resolution
HP EliteDisplay E231 23-inch LED Backlit Monitor
LG 23MB35PM-B 23" IPS FHD Monitor
