Here's one of the best racing flats in New Balance's line up at the moment. Retail at $169.95 at Running Warehouse, and some can be found for $60 delivered at Amazon AU.

• 201g for size 9 US
• 15mm forefoot, 25mm heel (10mm drop)
• REVlite midsole

Lots of good reviews on the net, at less than 1/2 the price of registering for the Sydney Marathon. Do note that it's designed as a competition shoes but perfectly fine as a daily trainer. I had a predecessor with similar outsole design that lasts more than 1,000km. REVlite is not as cushioning as NB FreshFoam though, but gives you a nice responsive ride.
