  • Hehe… I just noticed that one of the games you can get from jb is Zack and Wiki which EB Games will then trade back for $48 http://www.ebgames.com.au/preOwned.cfm - lol

    • Well I did that for Battalion Wars 2 traded it back using an 20% extra trade-in voucher got $57.60. Then bought 2 for $50 - 15% = $42.50 and got BW2 with them

Have done the JB trade for Mario Kart but note you can't trade them in until Apr 24th when it releases. In the meantime they might add titles to the exclusion list. I got Rayman 1 & Surf's Up both currently not on exclusions list.

      • It appears that Rayman: Raving Rabbids and Surf's Up are the ONLY games that can be traded towards this deal.

  • You have to do so much just to save a little bit of money. I rather just go to JB HiFi and pay $75. Much easier. And what if they don't accept the games you are trading in. Then you will waste $50. The Risk is too big, not worth a try.

  • well.. this is what bargain and bargain hunting is about.

$25 may not be a lot for you or someone else but for some people, you can't believe what some people will do to save or get that amount of money. Including me, that's why I am known here as the elcheapo!!

so thank you again for your tips

  • err.. I mentioned a similar deal to this a month ago!

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/3604

Ended up with $75 for this.

  • This is a joy deal, first u get two games to play for a week or so, then u can trade em in for another game, awesome, cheers!

  • I'm going to do the same thing when Grand Theft Auto 4 comes out for Xbox 360.
The 3 games needed have cost me $65.
Supporting EB Game is the only problem here.

  • Be warned that the 15% has an exclusion that states it is not applicable with other offers. E.g. 2 for $50.

    So I couldn't get 2 for $50 (less 15%). Cheers!

  • Hey Guys: This deal doesn't work. I followed every step as advised but JB Hifi won't accept my Wii games that I brought from EB games. And also 15% from Eb cannot be used on the 2 for $50. This deal doesn't work. Don't try it. Or you will end up buying two useless games for $50. just like me.

    • Which games did you buy? Were they on the exclusions list or just other games & they refused to accept them?

  • Thanks for the heads up guys - i'll ensure these games go onto the exclusion list before launch

    • You work for JB?

Guess looks like my $75 deal with the Mario Kart (which actually worked) is good. :)

  • I bought two games off the ebgames 2 for $50 table, they wouldn't use the 15% off voucher, as others have also mentioned.

I then asked ebgames if they would price match the jb hifi trade in deal & they happily agreed - so I traded the two games back for a copy of mario kart!!! Best price in town!!

(BTW: eb only had a couple of copies left & thought they'd be sold out by mid-afternoon).

EDIT: Games I bought to trade were Rayman Ravin Rabbids & Chicken Shoot.

  • i got the 2 games for 42.50 at EB games in perth (underground arcade not hay street)
have not yet traded them in
