Pioneer VSX-LX302 AVR Output Has Echo Watching TV or Video

Hi all,

It's been going on from the start, but I generally use the AVR for audio listening, which doesn't do this. Lately, I've been watching a bit more shows and it's bugging me.

When you're watching anything onscreen, TV, Youtube, etc…the output has a very noticeable echo (like the person speaking is in a huge pipe). I've run the auto speaker set-up and then I set it up manually— same thing.

This is the unit

Any Pioneer fans here who might have run up against this and fixed it?

Cheers

Gotta ask it - are you sure you’ve turned your volume of your tv down completely? If not that then it could be your audio output is set to Concert mode or something like that.

    • Neither of those.

I previously had the VSX-920 and didn't experience this so I'm thinking it's an AVR setting?

  • If using it, check ARC is enabled on your TV.

    • There's no ARC setting I can see in the TV menu.

As I say above, I was using this TV with an earlier Pioneer AVR and didn't hear it.

I'm hoping another LX302 owner might drop in. Meanwhile, awaiting a reply from Pioneer.

      Cheers
