  yeah, ain't news to me..
  but still it's worthwhile mentioning it for others.

  i was in harveys the other day and there were these obviously dodgy 3m HDMI cables in the bargain bin for $70. wow! what a great special.. probably a measly $68 profit for HN on each one.

  cheap 5m+ length cables can get a little dodgy.
  you actually do need certain qualities(ie AWG ratings) to go distances

  if you were building cables into the wall cavities of your house.. you'd obviously spend a bit more.. do some research etc.
