    • could anybody point me to the offer? i cannot seem to find it on the website…thanks
found it and bought one:) 10c extra charge for using paypal though :)

  • This is indeed a bargain. Placed an order for 2 of these…

  • is it $2 shipping each or $2 per order?

    • $2 shipping for each

  • Anyone know how the speeds compare to other USB flash drives?

  • Just ordered 5. My only concern is that they could be fakes:
    http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/article.asp?CIID=105823

    We shall see :)

    • Let us know if they're genuine size, not being hacked.

    • You shall see these are NOT in any way shape or form Fake units, Hacked units or otherwise.

We have our credibility to maintain. It would not be in our best interest to do such a thing or sell such a product. These units cost MUCH more for than what we are selling them for.

    • Received my drives today and did the test:

So they're all good! Speed is decent but not the best.

      This is a definite bargain!

  • Its $4 each.

  • Stop flooding their server. I can't get in now.

  • Lol…their server just blew up.

  • The website is back, but currently showing out of stock…

  • They've got a bargain calendar. For today though, they've marked the flash drive as out of stock. Not marked out of stock for future occurrences.

  • Hopefully they put more on next sale.

  • Defititely Genuine size. No hacks.

  • I'm going to be eagerly awaiting Thursday now.
I hope it's a case of the moment the server time ticks over to midnight, that the bargain will activate, and that the server is based over East, so I don't have to stay up too far past 10pm ;P

Also be somewhat interesting to see if the quote about not requiring drivers for 98se is true. Though I'm using my old box less and less, it'd be interesting to see if it works.

  • Quick!!! this started again! :) I just got myself 5.

  • awesome!
I managed to get my hands on 3 of these :)
    thanks heaps +1

  • Looks like you have to be there at 12.01am to get any!

    • I got 3 at 12:30

but tried for 5 and got out of stock. rumour from elsewhere was that there were more out up this morning - dont know how long they lasted

  • Bugger! Miss out again

  • I got the 2x 2GB for $18 + PP and CC charge.

    Good deal!

  • Received mine the other day, the price of this item clearly reflects the quality of this item! I've already had three\
data loss instances within the last 24 hrs.

    1. I lost several files on my usb, Luckily i kept a backup.
    2. The computer asked me to format my usb, and i couldn't access it unless i did so.
    3. I unplugged my usb (safely removing hardware) and plugged it back in to see several files already gone.

It is a bargain if you're looking for a low-quality usb stick, but if you really want a decent and fast file transferring usb you need to stay away from this brand.

I might have to send these back.

    • Hmm. Doesn't it sound like the issue johnsee pointed out in the AtomicPC article he linked to…

    • I assure you this is not the case at all. Out of the 10,000+ units we've sold in this model, you are the ONLY person to have quality issues with this product. We will happily recall the product at test them internally for return, or replacement.

      • psylencer, are you from CrazyStu? in your previous deal you sounded like a customer from Sydney: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/3830. the company is from QLD, right? do you have offices in Sydney? do you accept pickup? thanks!

        • Yes this is true, my bad. None the less, pickup is not available in Sydney, QLD only.

    • ^ I want to clear up my post.
I was referring to ONE usb drive out of my THREE usb drives. I'm sure if i'm the only person to have a problem with these usb drives, that I was just unlucky. I'd like to thank Victoria for assisting with my faulty usb drive, I'm sure I will receive a fully-functional usb.

  • Thanks peter, Fingers crossed we can sort this out for you as soon as possible.

  • I guess this is a while after I got the drives, but I'm pretty disappointed as well. It was working fine for a few days, then it just stopped reading my files properly. I played videos on it, and they'd copy incorrectly. After a few times my files just disappeared (o.O) — they were still there by the space usage, they just weren't showing up. Formatting kind of was a stopgap measure, because after a few times that just happened again.

I guess I kind of threw the drive to one side. Probably gonna stick with the more well-known brands from now on..XD

    • Heh, I'm in the same boat.
I'd been thinking of chasing it up, even went to the effort of testing each drive with a couple of different programs, recording the results of all the errors. Had bought 5, three were pretty much useless, and two weren't capable of using the full amount of space. Transfer speed was terrible, etc etc. Ended up saying to myself "It's only $20. Buggerit"

Age old analogy of "You get what you pay for" applies here :P
