NAB Credit Card - Not Earning Qantas Frequent Flyer Points

Is anyone else holding a NAB Qantas Rewards Signature Credit Card and not received any points in the last few months? In the last 3 months, I received the incorrect number of points for 1 statement, and the other 2 I received no points.

Every time I call them their response is they are unable to assist as this is due to a system migration and I need to just wait. 3 months to sort out a system issue is a bloody joke if you ask me.

The other thing I am worried about is that I am due the bonus sign-up points later this month which I was banking on to book flights. If this issue isn't sorted by then I will pissed as this was the primary reason for me taking out this card.

    Yep… I signed up for the 90k promo on the card a few months ago.

    I got the same run around when I called to chase down my first months' worth of points. Seems be back to normal now and thankfully received the 90k points, but I'm sure a good portion of the points for the actual first few months will never eventuate :(

    • Glad you got the bonus pts, gives me some hope I guess. But are you going to let the monthly statements pts slide? I would be complaining if I were you!

        I've been holding off until the end of the month before going back in for another round of complaining.

        In the three months since opening the account I've only had one credit to my qantas balance - thankfully - the sign up bonus.

        If this month's points don't come through, I won't be accepting any excuses.

        • Like others below I complained enough to get a refund on the annual fee. If you havn't done that yet I would advise now is the time. Also my bonus points finally came through mid statement this month

          • @krazek: Did the refund come after Complaints with FOS? Or just with nab?

            I’ve complained with nab & was told they’ll cal me back and never did.

            Lodged woth FOS yesterday.

            • @tajid: I just spoke to the Loyalty team, explained by situation and then they transferred me to someone who had authority to refund, not sure which team they were with

              Call up NAB Resolve 1800 152 015, select option 3 and then explain that to the person. They'll put through a refund while on the phone. (We'll see if it actually arrives in my account tomorrow).

              • @lolcoaster: Thanks I’ve previously lodged with FSO so already have a case manager apparently & will get called by this person as currently they’re investigating it. Like BS! What to investigate? We all know the problem.

                • @tajid: Mine was supposed to come back to me within 3 business days regarding my request (demand) to refund the annual fee but apparently the person I initially talked to marked it as resolved without doing anything.

                  If you're waiting for your 100k bonus points, I've heard that they've offered others $1k in compensation (in addition to the points) so I'd push for that.

                  • @lolcoaster: Thanks for the update. I got a call back confirming my qantas number and that they can’t do anything. My case manager will call me back on Monday, so will push on something.

    I signed up a few months ago. Got the 90k bonus and up until the last statment, the points credited have been up to date but the most recent one has been missing for 3 weeks now.

    T&Cs say that points should be credited within 2 days for non-bonus points.

      Regarding the 90k bonus pts, how long after you met the spend criteria did it take you to receive the points? I'm at 2.5 months, according to T&C's you're supposed to receive them within 3 months

      • I got my 90k between the 1st and 2nd QFF pts crediting. My normal pts come in on the 23rd of each month, I got my 90k (well 100k) on the 14th of March.

    • Got my first batch of points (non bonus) 7 days after statement generated. Not too fussed as rather bit late, then never getting it like few others here.

    Glad to see this post, thought I entered my qantas account number incorrectly. It’s been close to a month since last statement generation and I still did not get the statement points (not talking about the bonus as I just reached the criteria).

    • Received points for this month’s statement but still did not receive the last month one. No bonus as well.

    i had this also, called up and they said its a 'system error' that theyre working to fix…

  • Thanks for pointing this out - looks like they don't know how to calculate the points properly, and it's always in their favour…

  • I noticed that last August and now September points have not gone through. I spent 40 min on the phone to NAB only to be told we don't know why the the transaction to Qantas rewards isn't working and that Qantas is rejecting the rewards points. The rep couldn't give me an ETA.

    I have not had any points credited on monthly spend for the whole time I have held the card, 4 months now. Numerous phone calls and promises of points being credited "next month" only for no points to be there again this month. I also got the card to book upcoming travel which I now can't do and am quite disappointed that there has been no notification to customers that there is an issue!

  • It seems almost everyone is not getting their bonus point and their spending points. I saw alot of complaint on their FB ads about this cards with people experiencing same issues. I was that close to applied for this card as Westpac declined my application. I ll wait for a better deal

    If we miss one day pyment we get slammed 20+% interest, we all should push to get 20%+ interest on these missed points!

    I've got my $395 annual fee refunded, definitely worth using nab's complaint form and/or lodging with FOS. Check pointhacks for a thread on the whole ordeal.

      I was gonna wait till I hit the three month mark before unleashing some rage. I may have to jump in and get start complaining again.

      So, what is their current message? Are they giving an ETA on when they expect things to be up and running again?

  • Also got my annual fee refunded for a second year in a row. Told I’ll have all my points by December

      Lodge a fos complaint you'll have them sooner.
