Business Trousers - What Do You Wear and Recommend?

I work in professional environment and dislike wearing suits all the time. My biggest issue is formal trousers. I usually wear chinos with a blazer unless I am attending formal meetings.
I found the chinos at Connors were a perfect fit for my body type and recently tried to replace a few and found the style and quality has significantly been impacted.

What do others in a professional workplace choose to wear as comfortable trousers that still look the part?

Please provide average cost and place of purchase. Looking for an alternate to my current chinos and slacks.

    • Any links for which you use?

  • Chinos all the way. Cheaper ones also make good work pants when not doing a desk job

    • How do you stop all the fluff and lint sticking on dark chinos? What brands are recommended? Academy Brand seems the go-to in office.

      • I cheaped out years ago and had Roger David chinos for the office. Found them to be really soft and I've never had an issue of fluff or lint. The best brand I've had are United Colors of Benetton but they're next to impossible to find these days.

      • Buy lighter greys… not as obvious

It's pants off Friday. I'll put forward my recommendation on Monday.

      Friday is open fly day.

I don't find suits uncomfortable, and wear them everyday (including on what appears to be becoming mandatory 'casual' Fridays).

I'm ok with others to wear chinos or whatever, but really detest how some take Fridays to equal dress down / slob day.
