Slimline Male to Male 3.5mm Audio Jack (No Wires)

Hi there,

I've purchased a bluetooth receiver to convert my wired Audio technica headphones into a wireless pair.

The receiver came with a silver male to male 3.5MM audio jack connector to connect the receiver to my headphones female connector.

The center part of this connector is quite fat and prevents me from placing the male end of the connector fully into the recess in the headphones for the audio jack (the female part in the headphones is not flush with the outer surface, it is recessed in).

Therefore i need a slimline male to male 3.5MM connector, I can see these but they all are wired. This defeats the object of trying to make my headphones wireless.

Any help in the direction of a part would be useful.

  • can you share a link to the bluetooth receiver you bought? have you scoured aliexpress for a cable?

  • +1

So you need something like this:

But without the fat middle part?

Hmm. Would something with a length of cable be acceptable? Because to be honest I've played around with audio stuff a lot and this is basically the smallest connector that I'm aware of.

    • You are correct. That fat middle part is the problem.

I was hoping for a cable free solution in order to make my headphones truly wireless.

It sounds like my search may be fruitless. Thanks for your input though. :-)

  • if it's like this https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/products/audio-technica-ath-m… can't you just use the lead that came with the phones to the BT
Or goto Jaycar if your in a hurry for a short lead.https://www.jaycar.com.au/3-5mm-stereo-plug-to-3-5mm-stereo-plug-500mm/p/WA7007 shortest lead they have

    • Yes I can use the lead, but was trying to make my headphones wireless. Looks like it's not going to be possible.

      • I think what you after is the bluetooth transmitter and receiver which they come as a pair and they are not cheap

        • why would i need a transmitter? my iphone is transmitting the music, it's just that i can't connect the receiver to to my headphones because the female 3.5MM connector is recessed into the headphone casing and the standard male to male 3.5MM connector is too fat to fit in the recess.

Apologies if i've explained it badly.
