Transferring Amazon Gift Card Credit

I added a $50 Amazon gift card to my Amazon US account several months before they cracked down on Australians accessing the US site after the GST changes. Seems you can't buy much from the US site anymore - I tried to buy a Kindle book yesterday from the US site and it forced me to the AU site where I can't use my gift credit.

I'm wondering if I can request Amazon transfer my credit to my AU account. Has anyone had success with this?

    You could have opened a chat with Amazon support and of asked this in less time took to post here..

    Cant you just buy another gift card email it you yourself and apply it on AU account?
