  Bought this the other day and doesn't seem to be detected as a Bluetooth device by my iPhone 5. This was off eBay where it said simply iPhone compatible. Maybe the 5 uses a different protocol or something.

    there are different bluetooth "versions", and yes, not all phones are compatible with all devices. kind of like having a brand new iphone, connecting to a really old wireless network, might not work

    also, with this device, does it work by sending the bluetooth music from your phone, to an fm radio station on your car?

  Fm transmitters are always poor in quality for reception. If this had aux output I'd be interested

    Yep. Even the Xiaomi Roidmi 2S was a massive disappointment for me. Tried it in a VE Commodore, had to buy a cigarette lighter adapter (I think the 3S doesn't need one), but the over-voltage alarm kept going off, the audio was horrible, I went back to using my Belkin AUX cable for my iPhone.

      actually I'm using a Roidme 3S in a VE commodore and am very happy with the reception clarity.
