      Downside of the Kogan deal though is that it gets SENT on the 28th (release date), which is a Friday, meaning you'd actually realistically be getting it on Monday/Tuesday.

      For many that won't be a problem, but a lot of people that play FUT would be wanting to be able to make coins on release date if they haven't already pre-ordered it for the 3 day early access. Release week is extremely lucrative in the market and if you play it smart can set yourself up well for the rest of the year in the first week alone.

          Haha I know the feeling. I managed to go clean for 4 years (last one was FIFA 15 on PS3).

          Got a PS4 recently and tried out the demo for 19, instantly felt that insatiable urge and after today's 10% Amazon cashback, I just had to make the plunge.

    Oh nice. The demo is the best feeling FIFA I've ever played, so I'm kind of keen to jump in on a new footy game, first time since… PES on PS2, lol.

        @Raynes - yeah 18 didn't grab me, though it was certainly an improved FIFA experience, too. Still felt like everything was moving through molasses and the ball had treacle on it. I ended up playing a lot of the free PES in the end. But this 19 demo instantly seemed snappier, and I like the two-touch shoot system.

        PES 3 through 5 were the heyday for footy games, they were so fast and so light. Every FIFA was trash until about 12 ('99 to 2011, WTF all garbage-tier video games), when it finally turned a corner on engine and playability, but it's only been these last few years that they've got anywhere near the golden age of PES, haha.

      It's literally the same shit every year. Coming from a guy who has played the FIFA games from FIFA 98 till now, the best period of time for the FIFA video games was anywhere between 1999-2011. Now nothing changes from year to year. Once EA can see that anyone will purchase their game + in game purchases, they don't have to change anything.

      If you don't mind XB1 digital version, there should be people selling theirs on feeBay from the EB XB1X deal. Sold mine for $40 on feeBay.
      Physical version is better though, as you can resell it later. Might be harder to get a good deal on the physical version (as it comes with pre-order bonus DLC and potentially a bonus DVD as well).

      Considering gamesmen did the exact same thing with Spiderman which then got matched by Amazon, I'm sure they will.

      Would be much better to do via Amazon as well before midnight as you'll also get 10% cashback AND if you have prime (or do 1month trial) you can get free expedited delivery which they promise to have delivered on or before release date. Something which the Gamesmen can't guarantee even if you pay extra for express delivery.

      Edit: not to mention Amazon also has pre-order Price guarantee so if they lower their price later to match someone else you'll still only pay the lowest amount.

          Unless you were to opt for Express, likely yes — with Express being rated at 1-2 days it's possible to get it either on Friday or Monday.

      Much better to either pick up instore from Big W when they inevitably sell it for ~60-64 on release day.

      Or if you're after the convenience of home delivery then get it for $62.10 from Amazon after cashback with free expedited delivery using Prime free trial to have it delivered to you on release day.

    After playing the demo I can say that I won't be buying FIFA this year after buying FIFA 09 to FIFA 18. Gameplay is identical; arcadey, ping pong passing, all players move and run the same.

    The Fifa franchise attraction for me has always been the online ultimate team but unfortunately this has turned into a Pay to Win format over the last few years. Losing to average players who have Ronaldo, Messi in the same team gets old pretty quick.

    I'll be switching to PES 2019 this time around

        thats been a talking point pushed by pes fans since pes 5/6 but hasnt been the case since pes 09. fifa really took over from 10 and onwards.
