  • Probably double price

  • "All this and more for $US20 ($28) in the US, and about $89 from private sellers on amazon.com.au.

Ouch. We are lacking some competition here in Australia for sub $100 dollar IP cameras.

Also looks like its also been spun-off as the Spot+ Camera that sells for $80. JB Hifi also stocked it at one point.

    • I was going to say, didn't JBHI have this as rebagged product…. and they did!

      We are lacking some competition

Thanks to the Liberal Party charging GST on low value items.

While billion dollar profits earnt by business continue to go untaxed.

The real question is, can we flash the cheap Xiaomi with the Wyze firmware!?

You know the funny part? It's not actually new and predates the Xiaomi version! Before Xiaofang's manufacturer partnered with Xiaomi they had already licensed their camera in America with the name iSmartAlarm Camera and was actually being sold at Walmart.

There was also a rumour that Spot created the camera originally and licensed it out to Xiaomi/Xiaofang.

I don't believe anyone has been successful in getting the firmware to work between devices due to the firmware and hardware differences.
