eBay Voucher Used but Still Shows in Account Summary

Last week I contacted ebay help about a coupon that I used for an item that the seller canceled and they graciously gave me a $20 voucher. I just used it to purchase other items and it went through successfully but the voucher still shows up in my account summary and on any product page (saying "Pay only $$" with the coupon that shows up being the one I just used). I know people are going to be like thats great you got another free voucher but I don't want to try use it just fore the sake of it and then for ebay to just charge me the full amount because of the error. So has this happened to anyone else or do you think they would charge me full price if I did try use it again?

Also I checked the invoice email and looks weird too. So the $20 has been taken off but it says 'vouchers, discounts -AU$4.84' and 'Other adjustments -AU$15.16'. According to the paypal invoice, ebay split the coupon up between the two sellers (both items were from different sellers) because in the paypal invoice it says 'Discounts $4.84''Payment $11.11' (one of the items was 15.95) but only one item is in the invoice and this is the only paypal invoice I have, even when I logged into paypal to check activity. The other item was $50.

Has ebay royally f***** up or is this normal behaviour?

    • Sorry could you expand on this? What are you saying yes to?

      • Your question was

        is this normal behaviour

        My answer is yes

        • Oh ok sorry didn't know which question you were saying yes to lol. So what about using the coupon again and wheres the rest of the transaction gone?

        • @AlmightyBeing:

          No idea

  • Buy ebay gift cards if you dont have anything else to buy.

Don't make purchasing decisions based on the existence of the voucher. That way, when you apply it and it works, it's a bonus. When you apply it, it works, and then gets reversed, you have paid what you were happy to pay in the first place.

    • yeah I know but the coupons expire and I had to re-buy the product that I originally purchased (the refunded product that got me the coupon) for a higher price so I wanted to use the coupon to at least get something out of the extra money I was spending

  • Also I think I found out what happened. One of the items I ordered was canceled as I was purchasing or something (I don't know what happened to it but eBay is now showing that the item never existed, not even a cancelled item page or sold page or anything). So I got money off one product and because of that I got money off the second when I used it again!
