Not really clear that the main benefits of the Movie Club are received with this free membership: A complimentary movie ticket and a bar voucher for your birthday. All that's listed in the details is discounted movie tickets.

      • No birthday voucher ???

  • The discounted ticket at my local (Westgarth VIC) is from $22 adult down to $15; or on Cheap Tuesday, down from $12.50 Adult to $12.

You could have a 'birthday' in your free month to see if you get the comp ticket and bar voucher

Anyone see the fine print: 'Palace Movie Club Memberships are not valid in WA.'

The heck? So it's basically good for nothing

    • I cant see that text anymore. Given this is a WA launch promo I'm guessing somebody forgot to update the Terms & Conditions until it was pointed out to them?

      • Yep it's gone now. Someone must have updated it…

      And Reading Cinemas Mandurah

      • …didn't even know reading cinemas still existed

        • +2

          They most certainly do

My nearest cinemas are in Midland but we normally go the extra 5-10 minutes to Belmont just to support them

I assume you can purchase discounted tickets at any Palace Cinema Australia wide with this free membership? And not just those in WA? We shall see..

  • Reading cinema ftw..

Great for those that work in the city or surrounds and want to see a movie after work or for tourists! I’ll go to my closest cinema on the weekends as it’s cheaper.

  • Has anyone received anything yet?

    • Just spam from them.

  • Got my membership card in the mail today, no mention of the free ticket yet as far as I can see.

Yeah nothing when I login online either.

However, it does say above - "admit passes issued at the Box Office when you present your membership card"

    • Yeah me too, I'm worried that they changed the terms and conditions after so many people signed up and aren't going to honour it for the people who signed up before they changed them. :(

      • It still says it in their T&Cs that you get the free pass at the Box Office. Has anyone tried yet?

        • I don't even got birthday offer.

        • But now under the raine square page it says:

Raine Square Launch - Free Membership

          Benefits

Discounted tickets for you and one guest
Discounts for special events, films festivals and preview screenings
          Valid for 1 year

    • Me too

  • I asked them re free movie and birthday voucher. They said because I have a free membership, I am not qualified. My friend also joined in but direct at the cinema and he instantly got the free 2 movie voucher. Pretty disgusted and useless membership for me now. Just keep getting their junk mails!

    • Interesting, did your friend join direct for free?

      • Yes

        • I reckon speak to someone else at front counter or ask for the Manager. It does say in the T&Cs that we get a free movie per account.

I got my membership card in the mail today. I'm surprised they honoured the free membership even though I don't live in WA, but VIC. But I guess you can use it Australia Wide (if you are interstate on holiday/business, etc)
