If F&P only has a 2 year warranty and the above also has 2 years, I guess it's no greater risk.

Essato looks real good, and appliances online have free shipping. That one from Kogan quoted $85 for Melb delivery yikes!

Fix the fisher and pykal, are you n Melbourne? A found a great dryer repairer.
I was in a similar position and was about to buy a new one when the sales rep said that the new dryers will last a few years but nothing beats the older ones for reliability and longevity. He suggested I try to fix it buy looking at you tube vids and if I can't try to repair it. $120 odd and it good as new!!!
It’s not a heat pump dryer though, the one that just broke. But it would be cheaper than buying a new one f it could be fixed.

Doesn't tumble and smells like burning when it's turned on.
