Existing customers only :(

I’m a new customer, thanks to last months OzBargain http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39198. They called me today offering 50% off my first delivery of fruit & veg if made during March (I ordered dairy/meat last month).

At 50% off worth another try!

  • So i have to call to get 50% off , is there a way to get 50% through the website?

    • I think you have to call, especially to avoid any delays with the discount … but when I call first thing in the morning with my order, I will post it here if there is a code that can be entered.

  • dont get this online food store.. their packs r realy unclear. doesnt really say how much u get for 25-35$ pack. other prices are pretty expensive as well.. all making up for delivery if ur a bum and cant go out and get ur own stuff

    • +1

I agree they are expensive at their full prices (& said so here last month) … but at 50% off I think they might be in with a chance.

      • classic market penetration tactic to get new customers. enjoy while it lasts haha

      • thank goodness you're not holding a .44 magnum……

        • yeah the only magnum I'd be holding would be an ice cream.

        • +1

          Or thomas magnum?

        • my wife would've :)

    • so my obviously failed attempt at humour in quoting one of Hollywood's most famous lines from Taxi Driver, as parodied innumerable times since, including in Disney's The Lion King, was misconstrued as a "personal attack"!!! :)

      • +1

        I got it :)

  • So if I order for the whole month on my first order, I get 50% off for the whole month, or just the first delivery?

    • first delivery

  • You say the minimum order is $30 yet you only spent $11, am I missing something here?

    • Yes, minimum order BEFORE the discount ($30 for dairy/meat/poultry/fish & $25 for fruit & veg.)

Last month's offer was $20 off, so my order was $31-$20 = $11.

So at 50% off, if I order $30 at normal prices, I will only have to pay $15.

  • must be a full moon out tonight!

  • Technically the esky might not be yours but I dont think they’ll be trying to get it back!

Yeah they won't be wanting it back, they would much rather charge you $50 if you want to keep it.

    • :)

… I checked … you can keep the first one … and they charge you $3.30 if you don't leave it out for a subsequent delivery and they leave you another. (Its only a soft insulated bag, not a large hard container.)

  • The minimum order for fruit & veg. is $25 - I presume thats before discounts, it was last month.

  • Tried to sign up for an account online, they don't service my area. Told me to call back in a month time to check.

    • :(

    • Same for me. My suburb has been a suburb of Melbourne for 70+ years. Impressive. :(

  • Hi Everyone!

Just to clarify a few points from previous posts:

    • Aussie Farmers Direct only currently delivers to metropolitan areas throughout Australia, and some regional locations. If you find that you live in a non-serviceable area then please register your interest by completing the Sign Up process on the website so we can notify you as soon as we start delivering to your area.

    • With your first Milk/Bread/Meat order your local 'Milkman' will deliver your order in an esky. That is included in your first delivery and is yours to keep. Please remember to leave this out for your next delivery so your produce is kept cool and fresh overnight.

    • The 50% offer that 'mxyzptik' is referring to is only a promotion for existing customers, and only applies to Fruit & Veg boxes. All customers who qualify for this offer would have been notified individually by email.

    • The minimum order for Fruit & Veg is $25, but the minimum order for Milk, Bread, Meat & Groceries is just 3 items. (These are delivered on different days).
