I bought this one for a smaller travel tripod and I'm quite happy with it: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VANGUARD-ESPOD-CX-203AGH-TRIPOD/…

You can use POLLEN for 20% off to $47.20 delivered.

Depends what you want to use it for.

If it's for travel, something ultra-portable like a Joby Gorillapod.

If it's for general use (landscape, group shots, etc), most traditional tripods are fine.

Manfrotto is the most widely available brand. But you can also get cheaper but still good quality imitator brands like Benro.

Lastly, get one with a ball head and quick release plate… the inconvenience of screwing and unscrewing your camera from the tripod will get old very quickly. I personally don't like the Manfrotto style QR system (too bulky)… I'd prefer the Arca-swiss style system (supported by more manufacturers too).

Just noticed this on sale. No experience with this brand, but has a lot of features found in more expensive tripods.

    • thank you. what about the one in the comment above?

For your camera, that's fine and the price is good. Its QR plate is a Manfrotto style… may stick out a little on the bottom edge of your camera. (That said, Arca-style plates are probably also on the big side for mirror-less cameras)

I wouldn't use it for a full-sized SLR with telephoto though… the head doesn't look robust enough.

  • Have a look at this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGf070YTkuw

Have seen those tripods on ebay around the $50 mark.
