Telstra "SHARED DATA PLAN" Only

Moved to Forum: Original Link (Insufficient details / no official terms and conditions)

if you have a "shared data" plan from Telstra, you can have your device cost waived, if you purchased it before July 24th 2018 , if you disconnect or recontract your device cost will be waived.
because of Telstra stopping shared plans (which are no longer available) disconnect cost will incur but may be waived if re contract but might be worth it if you have an expensive device.

This would really benefit from proper sentence structure and grammar.

    I'm still confused.

I think what OP is trying to say - if you have a data sharing plan with device, Telstra will waive fees if you re-contract to a non-data sharing plan

    Good to know! thanks!
Last month Telstra did try to upgrade my old $5 100MB "data share" sim on a new "data sim" plan for same $5 but 2GB!!! Sounds like a free upgrade deal?? Wrong!

I almost took the bait until I enquired about the data share feature between my 2 other mobiles and this sim and then they spilled the beans about that feature will no longer be available.
There is no more "share data" feature between services for your new plans!!

NO THANK YOU!!.. I rather have less total GB on each device but a data share pool for the flexibility.

Better get your old $5 100MB data SHARE sim plans while you can too as those are phasing out too.

    • Glad I got my data share SIM back in December when I signed up for my Pixel 2 plan

  • I wonder if I can get another device if I recontact without paying the penalty amount. And where is this t/c?

  • Who can confirm if this is actually true? Where is the Document that outlines this?

    • You’re Associated; shouldn’t you know?

      • No idea how im associated. But somehow i cant get rid of it.

  • How do you get:
"your device cost waived, if you purchased it before July 24th 2018 , if you disconnect or recontract your device cost will be waived." ?
