Recommendations for 6 Day Holiday

So i have a week leave at the end of october, wondering where you guys recommend i can go for about 6 days where i won't feel like it's not enough (overseas) or i'll get bored of in 6 days (somewhere up the coast). No real preferences or activities i want to do just want to chill out.

Cheers

  • Grab one of these flight and hotel deals when there's a site wide & decent cashback deal.

    https://www.groupon.com.au/occasion/travel-with-flights

  • Where do you live now?

    • Sydney.

  • Tasmania, go on a bus tour

  • Or go to Isle of pines (my favourite place I visited while cruising, swam with sea turtles while snorkelling on the beach)

  • If you like driving - that's the perfect duration for a road trip somewhere. 1 day up, 1 day down, a bit of margin for rest both ways, and 3-4 days to enjoy wherever you drove to (up/down the coast, etc).

  • +1

solomon islands, 3 hrs each way flight, weekend special $600 flights. good diving, and different.

    • Definitely on my bucket list of places to go due to the great fishing. Takes a bit more effort to arrange compared to a more established tourist destination though.

  • Tassie + Melbourne + Jetstar currently has an aussie flight sale.

  • i have a $129 gift thing for sale for $100 if that helps for virgn

  • Buy an oil diffuser, silicone tubing, respirator mask and duct tape.

Buy a few beakers, a fractional distillation kit, a vacuum pump, and a bunsen burner.

    Get some product.

    Do some work.

    Add Domino's to speed dial.

    You'd be chilled AF.

  • I have a week off in late October as well - we were thinking of buying those flight/hotel deals from Groupon/Jetstar for Bali and just going to relax.

  • Book a cheap but nice-ish hotel close to home for 6 nights and 'chill out'?

  • I would recommend Perth. We just did 6 days/5 nights there. We did 3 days Perth / 3 days Freo (inc 1 day Rottnest Island). The quokkas are hella cute and very friendly. When we stopped at one place the bus driver told these people off for patting a quokka, so they backed off and the thing basically mugged them. The woman lay backwards on the bence to avoid touching it and it sat on her chest. We did the hop on/hop off bus but bicycles are a good way to travel; just expensive at $30 a day. We found some really good restaurants in Perth including one called "Wok and Ladle" which had really good cheap Thai food, BYO and a bottle shop across the road. If you don't want to hang around Perth/Freo then you could head down to Margaret River.

  • Probably depends whether your going solo or in a group

  • We, sometimes, have staycations. Just stay at home and try out a bunch of good restaurants, go out to shows/pictures and drink wine. 6 days is probably a bit long for that but it is a great "reset" and you don't have to dick around with hotels, packing and planes.

  • singapore

  • So i decided to just find a place up or down the coast or in melb. Probably serviced apartment or house. Looking for something with a spa, airbnb has the function to filter it but i can't find any other sites with functions where i can look for them. Any ideas?

    Cheers
