I have bought a few titles on sale, and one or two full price.
They have hundreds of titles. If I want to read about Git or R or Angular for a project, how long must I wait till it goes free?
EDIT: I chose 3 wildly varied topics above as examples , but when I click through there are titles available for both R and Angular for free, so I guess I take your point!
Mastering git comes up every couple of months as the daily freebie. When it does I send our less experienced devs over to grab a copy.

Packt does this every day. I have over 400 ebooks from them. I used to review books for them back when the sent physical copies to reviewers. The quality varies wildly between authors.
I wouldn't calls this a bargain. It devalues their whole product offering. Why pay for one of their books when if you wait you can get it for free?
