DJI Mavic Pro 2 - Amazon Listing Shows Fly More Pack, but Told Wrong Listing

Update: I will stop being a stinge and cop the drone without the extras - thanks for your advice ozb

Hi all,

long time lurker - rarely posting

I recently made use of the amazon 10% cashrewards cashback - buying the dji mavic pro 2 listed here;
https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07GSWTCVL/ref=od_aui_d…
for $2299.

As soon as my order went through - the seller (Sparkinlife) told me they had made a mistake in the listing and it would not include the fly more pack. (They attached an image without the fly more pack and asked me to confirm).
I said no, and they offered a refund.

However, I don't want a refund and want the fly more combo - and they have subsequently told me they have put an incorrect listing.
I've contacted amazon, however they've referred me to the seller.
I've considered going to ACCC as well, but it may be too much fuss for its worth.

Noting that if I had bought the combo 2 days ago - i would receive a further 10% discount.

Say refunding is not an option, what does ozbargain think my best action is - has anyone had any success in having sellers fulfil their incorrect listings?

Sounds like a genuine mistake and the seller provided a remedy in quick fashion.

You don't sound like you incurred opportunity cost.

    Nothing to complain about here.

They made a mistake, contacted you, admitted it, offered you a refund…

But no you are going to stomp your foot like a baby.

  • regardless if they did make an honest mistake they picked it up that fast to correct it makes you wonder if they're that fast on making mistakes on purpose.
Get your money back and move on if something did go wrong in the future could you trust their competence?

  • However, I don't want a refund and want the fly more combo

Yeah and I want to win the lottery…

No, you can't go to the ACCC - or rather you can, and the ACCC will force the seller to refund you.

The pro on its own now retails $2499 and fly more combo around $649 (total $3148), so you still got a good price on the drone alone. You could probably hunt around on eBay for the combo with voucher for around $450. I highly doubt the retailer would take a near $1000 loss for a simple listing error.

JB might be more willing to compromise but not some small time seller on Amazon.
