Utes with Lowest Tray Heights to The Ground

I'm looking at purchasing a Ute and I'm trying to find one with a reasonably low height from the ground to easily load my ride on mower in and out of.

I can find dimensions of the trays themselves, but can't find anything online about the height of them from the ground.

If anyone can recommended me some brands and models that would be great. I'm not fussy on the brand, just want something with a low tray.

If you want the lowest floor for loading, then you'll be looking at at trailer instead.

Just look around on the road, there isn't many 'low' floor utes like your after. Falcon/Commodore would be the utes with the lowest tray from the ground, but not overly wide, so your mower might not fit.

Basically look at what everyone else is using and then wonder why.

Why not get a pair of loading ramps?

    • That's the plan, except It can get quite vertical especially with those high trays.

You can get longer length ramps to help reduce the incline. Have a look on rampchamp

More fun to get a small ramp and a solid run up.

      • haha that's my last resort plan.

You'll be wanting a trailer mate

  • Most manufacturers offer a "low ride" ute, but they are usually the low spec, 2WD versions.

  • You could always let the tires down and pump them up with a compressor when finished. Or buy smaller wheels for the back. I knew someone who used to do this.
