Toys R Us Stuff-up = Cheap Xbox 360S with Kinect for Me!

Was at Toys R Us in Highpoint last night.

They had an Xbox 360 S 250GB with Kinect (and Kinect Adventures) marked down to $300 from $549. WHAT?!

It had a big sign attached saying 'Missing Memory'.

I asked the sales girl about it and she said she was told there was an error message 'No Hard Disk Found'.

I asked to see the unit. Opened it up and low and behold, the hard disk was there. I removed it and pushed it back in.

She says that it was under full warranty in any case. I thought what the heck, if the hard disk is broken, I'll log a warranty repair.

I took it home and it works 100%!

I think the hard disk got jostled loose and staff thought it was broken!

So, pretty happy with the deal!

Keep those eyes peeled while shopping!

Time to sell my Xbox 360 20GB!

  • reminds me of when i bought a collectors edition Buzz lightyear for $20 from kmart.. it said that it never turns off once turned on… i got home and its perfect.. $110 saving!

  • nice find, best deal i had was trading 20 x $5 games i bought from hardly normal for a 250gb elite model at eb

  • Surprises are good - today I bought a $79.95 iron that scanned at $20! Yay!

  • My receipt only shows a price correction and not a 'clearance item'. Imagine trying to use a scan of it for a price match elsewhere! Haha!

I'd be willing to try if you'd upload the receipt. :P

I think that would be quite naughty of me and falls from Bargain to Scam. :-)

I would try to muster up some moral outrage if you did Shawn, I wouldn't like my chances though…seems like a victimless crime to me! :p

[Disclaimer] I am not a role model! ;)

          Victimless crime?
          What do you mean victimless?
What about the poor bank balances of the directors and shareholder of Toys R Us???!!!
