SIZE D Rechargeable Battery - Suggestion

can someone suggest reliable SIZE D rechargeable battery set.

Recently bought some toys which require size D batteries.

AliExpress has some ‘USB rechargeable battery’ packs. Any reviews on this kind of setup?

You can get D size "cases" that fit AA batteries in them. I've got some enloop ones I got from a deal on here ages ago.

    • Thanks..will look into them.

      • Since you said "toy" I'll mention that the Robosapien is designed for the weight of D batteries. If you use an adapter for AA, you'll need to add additional weight somehow.

        • So If you don't use Ds it wont work?

@Melb69: The batteries go in the feet, if the weight is absent when it tries to walk, it can fall over. Solution, add weight to the feet.

        • bought 'Hot wheels' track. Thanks btw.

I would strongly recommend the adapters. Everything I've ever owned that used C or d batteries I've used the adapters with. Never had an issue with battery life or the toys not running. We even had a child swing that took 4 X D cells which I ran from AAs.

I bought D's for the same thing before I realised they existed :(

Voltage lower. So assume wont last as long as normal Ds, but obviously trade off as you can use the rechargeable AAs. Toys however usually eat batteries, so will go through a lot of AAs.

    • Voltage lower.

The voltage for both aa and d size batteries are rated at 1.5v.

I bought the rechargeable Varta ones and charger from Bunnings…So exy. Only need it for the Fisher price lamb rocker/swing thing.

Never buying anything else that takes D batteries again if I can help it….although I do have 4 D batteries now :/

Aldi used to sell them, and occasionally bring them back.

regarding the aliexpress rechargable D batteries you linked - there is feedback from other sellers - reviews were very negative (always read the negative feedback for electronic things). i.e. batteries are too light; capacity is 300mAh, etc
    - avoid.

Incidentally, OP, the batteries in the listing you linked, inspired by Etinesan. Those inspired by Kentli, originally.
Capacity of yours may equate. It's possible. Brand seems ok -

D-size usb lithium a recent evolution, and yes, will provide full alkaline-equivalent voltage, if required. AA usb-charge lithium one, around for a couple of years. The Kentli innovation before that.
Relative to even NiMH, D lithium will be extremely light in weight and real boon in at least some devices, for that reason alone.

Would still not use in any toy where batteries potentially removable by a child.
