The sleep mask does look like a good quality item with positive reviews (and a somewhat awkward Instagram photo), but at $49, it’s hard for me to fork out for something like that.

Have a vote from me. It looks pretty good and at $45 I don't think it's super expensive given that it looks like it's well made and should fit well.
Anyone tried this and can give feedback? Looking for a sleep mask.. Never tried one. Any review of this or any other recommendation appreciated. TIA
I have a couple from Alaska Bear and they are excellent. Super comfortable silk with a fair bit of padding but still soft enough to be comfortable. No light gets through at all. Should say, they are quite big though so if there is any vanity involved it may not be for you. Really looks like you are tucking in for a nice sleep when you put it on.
EDIT: should also mention that these aren't 3D as the OP is. So these do press on your eyelids. Not a problem for me but others may find it uncomfortable.

OP, does the Velcro strap connect at the base of your head? Would this be unsuitable for someone who sometimes sleeps in their back unless they want to lie on a Velcro lump on the back of their head?

But for less than $1.50, given this has the same interior padded design, I can't fathom paying over 20x more for a product that won't be anywhere near 20x better (let alone 2x, based on what I can see)…
The nose lets in a fair bit of light on that cheapie, and it's basically useless for flying since your head is tilted back.
My review .. their customer service is terrible, took 3 emails to get a response and any further emails thereafter..once they have your money doesn't mean anything at all and 3 weeks later i still haven't heard diddly squat. For the price that they charge.. i expected a much better customer service than what i received. Hell even McDonalds have better customer service than these guys. Thumbs down from me no matter how "good" these masks are.
