Amazon AU Has a No Enquiry Policy on Cashrewards

So I had an amazon purchase declined on Cashrewards. I did the usual process and raised an enquiry to get the transaction looked into. This is part of the response I got from Cashrewards -

Amazon Australia have a No Enquiry Policy: We regret to advise that in the event of your transaction not being recorded or being subsequently declined we will be unable to process your rewards enquiry

Talk about bad form!

I guess that means I won’t be bothering with amazon anymore.

Cashrewards can only follow the procedures of their merchant partners and I get that, amazon refusing to look into legitimate enquires is pretty crap imho.

Sharing in case others didn’t know.

    Same deal with shopback, with shopback I think they said you had to click through then add the stuff to your cart for it to successfully track.

      Yep don't have your cart prefilled or else Amazon won't pay out to the cashback providers.

    I had one declined for some reason and I raised an enquiry and that was the reply I got back. I know I followed every step so I wanted to have it looked into and I was told they won’t look into it no matter what.

      • The reply posted above was from CR customer service.
        I am not upset with cashrewards, my issue is with amazon refusing to look into declined transactions at all. They have essentially tied cashrewards hands which leads to a neagative customer experience when something goes wrong.

        • TA is the chief CS and he may look into it for you

    Sounds like Cashrewards has a "no enquiry policy" rather than Amazon.

  • Declined or purchase not tracked?
    As I've submitted for purchase not tracked and after much emailing of PDF invoices eventually approved.
    Takes couple months to then actually get money so can't confirm that bit yet.

    Last Amazon order I didn't bother with cash rewards due all previous issues.

    I recently bought a Xiaomi projector from Aliexpress, and I had the exact same issue. Funny thing is that although I received an email form CR informing me of the No Enquiry Policy, I was also informed that CR would cover the cashback at their own costs. The issue is that although I submitted my invoice, $431 USD plus tax, I received cashback only for $351 USD.
    My question is: If Cashrewards cannot guarantee your cashback from these sellers, isn't also their responsibility to remove these sellers from their site? After all, they are business partners.
