USB Sticks with Fast Write Speeds - Recommendations Please?

Hi guys, I frequently download movies ranging in size from 4gb to 60gb. I would then copy it to my Sandisk Cruzer Blade USB stick, connect the USB to the TV, and then watch it. This works fine but when I'm copying the movies to the USB stick from my PC, the transfer speeds are pretty slow.

So I'm looking for a USB stick which will give faster copy speeds.

I've been eyeing up this one in the 64GB size:

Thoughts? Looking to spend around $40..

Using SSD instead of USB stick is much faster.

You can either pay for a purpose built external SSD such as Samsung T3 or T5 ..

.. or the cheaper option is buy a SATA III SSD and USB 3 enclosure with UASP controller (~15 bucks from MSY).

    I would buy a 120GB SSD.

    • Hi, any recommendations?

For a SATA III SSD I note this is available:

      • If you're frequently doing this, you need plex.tv in your life. Fairly easy to setup and get going to stream all your content from PC to TV wirelessly without copy-pasting forever.

        • Hi, tried out plex.tv and I keep getting buffering issues which is annoying. Not sure why ..

  • OP if you want pure speed, and don't want to go the SSD option as stated above, this is the fastest Sandisk have to offer, https://www.sandisk.com.au/home/usb-flash/extremepro-usb

PCCG seems to be the cheapest. https://www.pccasegear.com/products/43241?gclid=Cj0KCQjwuuHd…
