Telstra Freedom Plus Credit. What to Do before Leaving Telstra

Got $500 dollar plus Telstra freedom plus prepaid credit, did a bit of research online, seem like buying ebooks from Google store is the only way to spend the credit.

Did anyone have any suggestions how to untiize well the credit before I move to another service provider?

Or is it possible to have a post paid plan for 12/24months and get Telstra to deduct the money from there?

Any input will be great
Thanks in advance

If you can creditMe2U to another Telstra number you could sell it that way.

  • Can you still use it to make purchases in the play store? Mine stopped working.

It stopped working ten months ago, in December last year, hence OP's question

      • Ah I thought he was saying the only way he could still spend it was ok ebooks - was wondering if I'd missed something

  • Offer unlock service for Telstra locked phone on eBay and use this credit to acquire for unlock code from Telstra

  • I was in a similar situation and had $780, but found a way to spend it on data today. If you move plans to the PrePaid Max via the app https://www.telstra.com.au/mobile-phones/prepaid-mobiles/off… once you have moved over you can use the recharge balance (which comes across) to purchase credit via #100*4# (and then Option 2 I think). You can purchase 1GB for $10 or 3GB for $20 and that is deducted from the recharge balance. The new plan has a 200GB data bank, and recharges for the next few months get 22GB bonus on top of the 8GB the $30 plan provides. There are perhaps better plans out there, but it's one way to get something back.
