Question about Kogan Prepaid Plan Renewal

Hi.. My Kogan plan is expiring in early Dec. I have some questions about renewal (to keep the same number).

1) Which is the cheapest other SIM card to just port out and immediately port in Kogan again?
2) Is there any Kogan plan where the price is same for the existing customers as for the new customers?
3) I see that Kogan is selling plan vouchers online on eBay etc. Do they not send SIM along? If I buy a voucher to port into Kogan again in future from other provider, can I use my current/ existing Kogan SIM then with those voucher codes?
4) Lastly, is there any Kogan coupon code (e.g. $20 off $100) that we can use while buying mobile plan voucher code from Kogan website?

Thanks!

  • You need to read the guide to sim hopping.

    • Thanks, but it doesn't answer the specific questions I have above.

  • Same here…Mine expiring 20 of Dec 2018.

  • just port out and immediately port in Kogan again..

I read one provide (may be not Kogan) requires 6 months out to be considered as new customer so if you port back in a week you are still old customer. Becareful.

    • Damn.. can someone confirm this? Secondly, which is a cheap sim to port out?

      • ok sorry not 6 months but 30 days. see below. this is my 1st time with kogan so i cant confirm as well. but you can call and ask?

cheap sim to port out, will be depending on current deal. could be lebara this week but next week something else cheaper. if you need like right now then just google around. we have only 10-ish telcon providers in australia anyway. not hard.

  • 1) Which is the cheapest other SIM card to just port out and immediately port in Kogan again?

Kogan says you have to be out for 30 days to be classed as a new customer again

  • Cant you just do the 40% off for existing customers?

The deal now expires in 2019 so you can buy now for a December recharge or go with Lebara for a slightly cheaper option.

    • +1

I'd prefer Lebara if I were to buy Kogan at this price as Lebara has intl calls included too though both miss roaming.

Plus, Kogan vouchers won't be applicable now ($50 off $120 which used to work earlier when I purchased last year) so absolute price needs to be more competitive to beat Lebara.
