Good lord these have come a long way since flashcard ds days

Especially when you look at the numbers. 400GB = 3200 gigabits. Over three trillion (that's million million) transistors in this thing.

      • Skynet is coming……

      • 400GB = 3200 gigabits

        What.

[EDIT: I tried to analyse that, but that line doesn't make sense to me at all]

          GB is gigabytes
          1 byte = 8 bits
So 400 gigabytes, is 3200 gigabits

          • @aragornelessar: True. It was early morning.

But also, when it comes to storage, isn't 1 GB 1000^3 kb instead of 1024^3?

So in real life these 400GB are actually ~376 gigabytes, true? Or are we already past that shitty marketing?

            • +1

@pizzaguy: 400 marketing gigabytes are equal to 376 real gigabytes - they started doing it long time ago.

The 200gb variant was $53 though. Only a bargain if you really need 400gb on one.

Sure, the sweet spot is aways the medium size cards.

But for something like the Switch where changing cards is such a pita this is really nice to have.

    • where? I'm seeing 200gb $67 for now

      • Was. Here Amazon AU supplied by US for prime members

  • Must resist….

I wonder if I could use this on my Astell & Kern AK Jr. I cant find the info on Google.

Edit: spoke too soon. An updated info. Yes it accepts 400GB. Decision decision…
