Best Chocolate for $1/100g?

Best one i've tried are the Kmart ones. Coles is roughly the same price, but Kmart ones totally blow the Coles chocolates out of the water.

Has anyone found other alternatives for the same price?

    Aldi

  • Cadbury is about $1/100grams … when on half price sales at coles and woolies. Maybe stock up when its on half price sales, then ration it out if you can ie. Only have 1 bar per week, or whatever amount you would normally consume, despite having bulk amount there on hand.
Maybe the Cadbury on sale works out to slightly more, maybe $1.25/100grams, but if that 25 cents really matters to you greatly, well honestly, you might be eating too much grams (or kg) of chocolate.

      Cadbury is no best

I wonder how Cadbury manages to fit 110g of sugar into 100g of chocolate.

Cadbury is pretty awful. Only some varities are passable and those tend to be wayyy more expensive than $1/100g. The blackforest one is OK.

  • Kmart has a home brand chocolate?

Are you after milk or dark?

I quite like Whittakers which gets to that price at big w every now and then.

    • I thought it was discontinued. Isn't that why they reduced the 200g bars to $1? It was Belgian, but obviously not top quality Belgian.

    • I prefer milk chocolate.

I thought whittakers only gets to $1.50 per 100g at best?

  • Go dark as can then get Lindt when on special @Coles/Woolies. Quality over quantity. You eat less dark choc so $2 lindt will last longer.

    • Most dark chocolate has this weird sour taste to me…

  • When the Lindt outlet places are having their 75% off sales you can get 1Kg of chocolate balls for $25. Also, if you don't mind short dated chocolates, then places like "Sweet As" in Chadstone have some good chocolate deals.

    • Unfortunately I dont live anywhere near one of those outlets.

      • Look up chocolate outlet places, there are a few of them around.

    $6.25/kg

    $2.50/400g

Really good especially for milk and coffee and but maybe not as rich or strong tasting since it is wafery.

    • Those are chocolate flavour, not chocolate.

Ingredients: Sugar, wheat flour, palm oil, cocoa powder, tapioca, rice flour, corn starch, dextrin, caramel colour, milk, salt, whey powder, creamer (whey, coconut and palm oil, natural flavour, soy lecithin), soy lecithin, vanilla, dried whole eggs. Contains: Milk, eggs, soy and wheat. May contain: Hazelnuts.

      • Ah my bad. I swear the inside filling as chocolate.

It is my cheap snack for chocolate flavored stuff. Only thing that really beats it is maybe some biscuits or wafers.
