  So Dan Murphy's have prices (on wines that I want to buy) that are better by more than 10%, so this deal provides no incentive, unless a price-beat - 10% is available.

  Please post here if you are able to obtain a price-beat on Dan Murphy's per 1st Choice policy and then subsequently obtain a further 10%.

    Dans and 1st have relatively the same pricing, 1st choice will match any major competitors specials which are advertised automatically so the discount actually works out really cheap at the moment.

        no worries as said its basically the liquor form of coles v woolies where woolies is sometimes cheaper with products but then again so is coles. Any wine specials advertised by any major competitors get matched at head office and updated into the system so its essentially automated. the only issues are minority stores and small local businesses which are not picked up by the boys in the office.

        But i scanned up a few of these today and the fact the its usable on special items saw some wine coming up pretty cheap

  They say they beat everyone's prices, so regardless they will beat your Dan's prices but whether they'd throw in the extra 10% might be questionable. Worth a try.

  Is this 10% on top of the usual 5% for buying a mixed dozen+ ? Or just 5% more off?

  All discounts are additive.

  I have just filled up the car boot with:
  Banrock Station Crimson Cabernet, Moscato, Sparkling White Shiraz, Sparkling Frizz, Red Moscato
  @ $4.95 (individual price) -5% for mixed dozen price -10% for discount voucher = $4.23 a bottle.

  Annies Lane Riesling
  @7.83 a bottle after discounts.

  Note that 1st Choice beat all of Dan Murhpy's specials advertised yesterday, so there was no need to get a price-beat.
