Quality Leather Couch?

Looks like it's time to replace our couch with a new one. Anyone have any good experiences with quality leather couches in Sydney?

There's about 1000 furniture retailers inc. Gerry's crew, but want to get something that'll last and not get over-charged for.

Any other tips of things to look for in a couch, frame, type of leather, cushion design etc etc.

  • Full grain leather, solid timber (where wood is used), tubular steel (cut sheet metal tend to twist and deform) and quality of weld.

Expect to pay $1k+ per seat, ie. 3+2=$5k++. That's on the very cheap end of those specs (probably unattainable now as I'm thinking of a decade ago).

wouldn't expect change from $15,000 for a proper leather couch. otherwise a couple of grand from hardly normal that will be nice for a year or so

Keep it simple, just go to King Living. Do expect 8 - 10 weeks at a minimum for them to custom make your lounge suite though.

Make sure if you're going to King to only buy when their sale is on. It's once every quarter and I'm pretty sure the current sale is ending soon!

Do NOT go to Bay Leather Republic OR Fantastic OR Freedom. Quality is just not there, try elsewhere

    • And of those three, Fantastic Furniture is the worst.. For everything, not just leather

Keep away from Nick Scali for Quality Leather.
