It's not suitable for fine dust. Have used it indoors, would only use this for things "too good" for the household vacuum, like stripping paint

  • Will the blower be powerful enough to blow water off the car?

Bought it this morning. Doing renovations so had plenty of material to test it on. Works well compared to other industrial units I've used, although I currently don't have any plaster dust - that's the real test! Things to note: it is a very light weight construction and I imagine wouldn't handle a lot of use. It also is quite small, which may suit some but means it has a relatively small storage capacity. For the money I'm prepared to treat it with kid gloves and live with the downsides. Three years warranty is good :) .. P.S. I didn't use my Powerpass card based on previous comments - thanks guys.

  • Would this be a good option for car vacuuming?

They have good suction but are a bit unwieldy. Have you ever had to reach some hard to vacuum spot and had to bring the vac into the car? You can't really do that with this one.

  • Builder here,
I’ve used these for trade use to take a beating to throw away later and honestly very good DIY if you look after them

They do tend to slowly lose their suction power after a fair bit of use however.

If this is workshop or general home use, this is an amazing price

I bought one yesterday and found that it initially working well (have a few slaters & bit of sand in the garage), but after a while (30min) it just lost almost all suction. I thought it may be the filter bag, so I clean it up, and tried again but it made no difference. I wasn't expecting much but this is POS.

Will return it and see if I can get my money back or get an outdoor vac.

Think you just have a dudd one.
Or the float is stuck. That happens from time to time.
Also sometimes items get stuck in the hose or hose socket.

      • Yeah, it'll be the float.

Open the vacuum, look under the top part. There will be a plastic float constrained by a plastic cage. If/when it gets sucked up into the air inlet it shuts it off, preventing it from filling with water but blocking all airflow through the unit. It stops sucking, on other words.

Sometimes they get sucked up and block the flow even without water.

The fix is to push it down again when the vacuum is off. In theory it should just drop away by itself but it seems yours is jammed.

Be good for aquarium water change

    • Na. Vac to small for that.

      • depends how big the aquarium is

      • Add secondary tank to vacuum

    • Upvote for brilliant idea!

  • Bought it. It’s good value for money. Tank is small. Can’t suck up much liquid before the filter gets blocked. Good suction however it’s noisey.

  • Back up to full price now.
