Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 10.5" 64GB Wifi (Bonus JBL Duet NC Headphones via Redemption) $826 + Delivery @ Harvey Norman

60

Good price for a shopfront store on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 64GB Wifi model. This actually started out as a post for Bing Lee but I found Harvey Norman just slightly cheaper and cheaper postage at $7.95 to SE Queensland. Bing Lee might be option for those that prefer at $832 + delivery.

Bonus JBL Duet NC Headphones (by redemption)

JB Hi-Fi also $832.15 after discount.
The Good Guys $832 (Ends on the 15th) it also says bonus $180 store credit, I'd be careful with that and check the T&C's.
Thanks to ctrlaltdel for pointing out it seems to be a Samsung promo, https://shop.samsung.com/au/galaxy-offer

IF you're considering getting this and are an Optus customer - take a look at the 24 mth plans that come with the 4g model.
$40 a month with 10gb data pool included at the cheapest plan.

  • Less $50 on $250 spend of you have the Amex statement credit saved

bought one from officeworks ebay store when it first release, cost me less then $400.
it definitely not worth over $800, if u ar willing to pay that much i seggest u get a win10 tablet with i3 or i5 core.

    • You bought a tab s4 for under $400????

        He was dreaming….

        • it was on promo same price as s3, plus 20% off code from ebay final price around $390.
that was long ago im trying to find my receipt now.

          • @samelight: It only came out in August this year, is that considered "long ago"? More importantly, why didn't you post as a bargain for the rest of us???

            • @Pecan: oh sorry my bad, got confused with the s2 s3 s4…

You probably thinking this is a Tab A

Agreed this is expensive for what it is… but Win 10 devices aren't great as tablets (having owned a number of Android tabs and Surface and even a Vaio Canvas)

One suggestion might be to wait for the newly announced Google Slate for those wanting an Android tablet experience… the low end one would probably be in this price range

  • This or iPad Pro? I'm am Android person but there are far less options for apps on Android tablets vs iOS.

I have a Tab S2 and love it, has started to slow down a little but I think I'll just reset it and keep it for now. Tab S4 I think is over priced but one of the few high end Android tablets left. BTW I love the slim form factor of the Tab S2, I assume Tab S4 is about the same.

      • If the promo hangs around for the rest of the month, I could get the S4 for $700 which includes TRS refund. So tempting.

  • Can you claim TRS on items over $900? On the way back in, they'd expect you to pay back the GST refund? Or do you just say, I have a passenger traveling with me, so we'll split it and be under?

Or can you just not declare it on the way in and they have no way of knowing?

Can anyone comment on the quality of the JBL Duet NC headphones? They claim it's worth $350. Are they on-ear or over-ear? Is the NC worth a damn?

    • Can you claim TRS on items over $900?
      Yes

On the way back in, they'd expect you to pay back the GST refund? Or do you just say, I have a passenger traveling with me, so we'll split it and be under?
Yes and Yes assuming you actually do have another passenger in your travelling party

Or can you just not declare it on the way in and they have no way of knowing?
Yes but technically not legal, ymmv

Are they on-ear or over-ear? Is the NC worth a damn?
      Over ear, Google some reviews

      • My googling told me it's on-ears. But they looked like over-ears so I was unsure. The cups do not look spacious. I don't think they will be comfortable for me.

  • In case anyone was wondering, the deal ends on 15th Oct for JB and Samsung direct, so there's a good chance it's the same at HN too.
