Yep, can definitely do it through a travel agent and some airlines offer it too.
Spoke to Flight Centre. Not possible.
They have "Buy Now Pay Later", but it's via finance/credit from Skye finance, and the FC rep confirmed with her colleagues that I can NOT pay off Skye using the new credit card once it arrives. :(

Might be able to do it through a travel agent that lets you pay a deposit now and the balance later? Not sure if they do that for flights?
