Nyal Cold+Flu tablets 24pk - $2.50 @ Coles TTP (usually $15.99).

141

My local Coles store (Tea Tree Plaza) have the entire Nyal range on special. I'm yet to confirm whether this special is nationwide or whether it's only the TTP store. The Nyal range includes Cold+Flu; Cough, Cold+Flu and Hay-fever and Allergies tablets - all of which are $2.50. They have a best before date which varies from March-July of 2012. With the cold and flu season approaching, it could be useful to stock up on some cold and flu tablets for a rainy day (mind the pun)!

This is my first post, so be brutal as you would like.

it's expires next year… don't think you can finish a life time supply

      • A normal persons lifetime supply lasts me about 3 weeks. :(

        • Negged for allergies, ahh I love this place lately.

    • sorry to hijack

FYI. These appear to be a herbal product [ http://www.nyal.com.au/products/nyal-cold-flu-fighter.html ] rather than than the paracetamol and other drugs combinations you would find in a Cold and Flu medication from a Chemist.

damn. here i was thinking about improving the profit margins on my drug lab.

    • Agreed with Cropsy, these do nothing unless you are a lucky person whose body actually reacts to this stuff. Cold and flu medicine from a pharmacy do infinitely more.

They used to, until the anti-drug warriors took the pseudoephedrine from them.
Now even low-dose codeine is restricted. Paracetemol is good, but you can get that from the supermarket.
These "herbal" ones are useless. If the herb worked, it would be a restricted drug.

        • You just need to ask for the good stuff specifically. They'll ask you for your driver's license and note down your details, but they'll sell you pseudoephedrine with paracetamol and codeine in it (the 'real' cold and flu tablets).

Mind you, some pharmacists treat you like some sort of criminal just for asking. I solved that problem by just going to a different chemist, with nice staff. Turns out they were cheaper too. That extra 5 min walk was worth it.

  • These tablets are as effective as sugar pills. They are not worth anything.

    wouldn't sneeze at this deal.

useless without pseudoephedrine. spend the 2.50 on butter menthols - they're also useless, but at least they taste good.
