What Marinade Are You Using for Your Chicken?

I have pretty much stuck to using nando's peri peri marinade for most of my chicken. Looking for recommendations on other options for increased variety

I use sambal and limes (or lime juice), then season with salt and pepper.

It's delicious, I'm eating it right now!

    • Midnight snack?

      • Gotta eat protein every 2 hours to maintain positive nitrogen balance. Don't wanna go catabolic and lose gains.

        • Chocolate does the same thing to me and it's easier to prepare at these ungodly hours.

    • looks undercooked

  • Honey

  • I started using Marion's Kitchen cooking kits when they went on sale. She was one of the contestants from Master Chef which didn't have me fusssed, but after trying it I discovered that they are so good that I even buy them at full price now! There's a few different flavours, I've tried most I think and they are all very nice.

  • If your roasting breasts legs ect you can just put in a bowl with oil and your choice of dry flavoring. Hell even that chicken salt you get at the super market works awesome. (The praprika one not the msg one)

  • Tomato sauce, maple syrup, garlic dash of sweet soy . Make it up to your taste and add other herbs spices etc.

  • Oyster sauce, garlic and sugar - wings

    Soy sauce and honey

  • Just salt and pepper overnight on the chicken breast. Cook with Rosemary, thyme and garlic. Finish off with a touch of butter.

  • Sugar chemically is a drying agent that makes the meat tough and dry. On wings I use milk powder, chinese cooking wine, chicken essence powder and let sit to tenderize (the milk powder makes the meat tender) for about half hour to Hoir. Tandaco fried chicken seasoning is then added and Chilli powder.. an egg some breadcrumbs, use my hand to stick the bread crumbs on more and bake at 180 for 35-40 BETTER THEN KFC (which FYI has a 9 for 9 Tuesday today deal LOL)

Or if not wanting fry style chicken I do the same with the milk powder, wine and chicken essence. After marinaded I caramelise sugar in a pan then when nice and brown put the wings in ad soy Chilli garlic sauce and let reduce.. sweet salty spicy sticky and tender goodness!

  • Kecap manis, lemon/lime juice, chilli
    Olive oil, lemon, pepper
