TPG ADSL2+ | Anyone Tried a Negotiated Deal to Continue

I am planning to take up the Optus 200 GB tablet deal. I am using optus mobile and speed/reception is good and i believe it would be better than TPG ( current Broadband) anyways anywhere i go.

Currently on TPG ADSL2+ unlimited @$60 per month (Home Broadband) , just 3 months left on contract. Don't need the home line But also don't want to cancel TPG unlimited broadband as of now or even keep it for longer

Why? As per TPG my average usage is about 150GB per month, which i am worried with fast speed and higher quality viewing Netflix youtube etc.. will easily make up and could go over 200GB.

So back to my question, what do you think i should target/expect from TPG when i try to cancel. Is any one on a lower rate then their published rates. Any help/suggestions

TPG wont give you jack, they dont discount for any reason, even to keep your business. So you can expect absolutely nothing.

  • Exactly this.

  • Do any ISPs negotiate? Never heard of such a thing. $60 a month unlimited is pretty decent. Considering what I used to pay for adsl 1 back the day..lol

  • Yep you are right. They don't generally negotiate. But was wondering if anyone had any success.

With the speed and huge data allowance on 4g services, i guess may be they should start negotiating. With the latest promotion from Optus on Ipad, i am tempted to.
