      QLD MISSING

      Just checked… It's still there…

      • Unlike you, people actually focus on the deals when posting comments.

        • -1

          Thanks Pot.

    • Bicycle Queensland Ride to Work Day breakfast. POSTPONED due to the forecast weather. Stay tuned - https://bq.org.au/events-calendar/ride2work-day-breakfast/

      • POSTPONED due to the forecast weather.

That's what happens when you don't have daylight savings…

Sure it keeps the cows happier, but everyone else suffers…

        • +1

That's what happens when you don't have daylight savings…

Or a roof on your vehicle.

        • everyone else suffers…

And dies. There is a small yet statistically significant uptick in deaths due to day light savings.

          • @Diji1: Only when it starts, and you lose an hour - supposedly it’s due to sleep loss. When it goes back, and everyone gains an hour, there’s also a convexly statistically significant downtick in deaths.

There’s a RadioLab podcast about it.

    • No locations on the Northern Beaches. Will have to drive to Gordon.

  • @ Ride to Work Day

What about all those people that work from home?

    • pretend to ride to work, then do loop around the block and knock off several hours early for the day

      • +1

Can't, might get fired by the wife.

  • UOW says there will be a brekky bar on their facebook event.
Worried about weather here too :\

More cyclusts on roads is better for traffic. Traffic jams are caused by cars and not cyclists. so please everyone ride to work and let me drive freely to work haha

      • +1

        would that be a Cycluster?

    • +2

more people on bikes = better for you, they won't be in the car in front of you :)

  • Oxford Street Reserve. Oxford Street, Leederville. Bbq breaky and coffee

    Now that is breakfast

  • +1

whyyyyyy must it be raining tomorrow (in melb) :(

Cloudy. High (70%) chance of showers. The risk of thunderstorms, with heavy falls possible in the afternoon and evening. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the evening.

    Ugh.

The hardest part is waking up early enough to enjoy the free breakfast rather than being late to work haha.

    • Good thing car drivers will be keeping an eye out for cyclists and there's never any oil or anything on the roads so it will be safe to ride still.

  • Gives you a chance to meet a few fellow ozbargainers as well

    • Now I'm tempted!

  • Lol the logo is a fidget spinner

    • +2

Is it remotely possible they are chain links?

      • -1

Is it possible? Yes. Many things are possible. Is it likely though? No. No it's not.

  • Is this for cyclists or motorcyclists?

    • +1

Logo has bicycle so I guess a motorcycle or unicycle doesn't qualify

  • update for Tas - Civic Square - free coffees and a muffin thanks to Aroma Coffee Van from 7:30am

    • Cheers, have added that.

  • +1

I commend anyone that braves the weather on a bike in Melbourne tomorrow.

    • Tomorrow morning doesn't look too bad for biking. Rain seems to start from 2pm.

  • Awesome, get off at Gordon Station anyway so it's only a 2 min walk 😂

Why couldn't they have been any more specific than "food" though??

    Edit:

enjoy free bacon & egg rolls and juice, bike maintenance check-ups and giveaways such as tyre patch kits, energy bars and tyre inflator cartridges.

    • Thanks, updated.

  • Update for NSW

    • Thanks added that one.

  • Mt Gambier, SA https://www.mountgambier.sa.gov.au/news/locals-urged-to-part…

    • Thanks added.

Dunno bout the other states, but in Victoria, the police are usually out looking for those that aren't wearing helmets, etc.

One big one is not having a bell. So get one if you're riding tomorrow (you should have one already, anyway)

    • Same in Parramatta. The cops are awake and watching on George St near the courthouse. $330 for a missing helmet plus some smart-ass remarks on top if you're lucky.

  • I see the sponsors are RACV, Bananas, City of Melbourne and City of Hobart.

Who pays for all of this? Is it local councils too?

  • Rainy morning in Sydney today. Definitely making us work for the free breakfast!

    • was the meal good mate?
