Nanoclean Shower Screens

Thanks for all the laughs and information. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether nanoclean coating in the shower really does make a difference for cleaning. It sounds great, but if you have hard water, as we do, there is still the usual maintenance.

If it is anything like the nano clean/ceramic coating added to cars, no, it won't mean less cleaning. You'll still need to wipe it down to keep soap scum off the shower screen. The water repellency will only work if the surface is clean. Spraying the shower screen down won't be enough to keep it clean.

it sounds like the paint protection that car yards sell, in fact it is https://www.nanoshine.com.au/perth.html

  • Thanks both, very helpful. This is what I suspected. It's put on in the factory, and guaranteed for 10 years, but the T&C require daily wiping and weekly spray with diluted white vinegar if you have hard water. Stegbar are charging $260 per shower for it, which seems reasonable, but not if you're still doing the same work!
